According to Knight Frank’s Alpine Property Report, which surveyed over 730 high-net-worth individuals, 44% of respondents now prioritise year-round activities. This marks a clear shift in how the region is viewed — not just as a winter playground, but as a destination for all seasons.

When asked which type of Alpine lifestyle they were most interested in, wellness came out on top, followed closely by skiing and snowboarding. Hiking, mountain biking and soaking up local culture and village life were also high on the list, underscoring how resorts are evolving to cater to a broader range of interests. From luxury spas and gourmet dining to a packed programme of festivals, many Alpine destinations are investing in a more diverse, all-season offering. Add to this the dramatic scenery, fresh mountain air, cooler summer temperatures and easy access to nature, and the Alps emerge as a compelling alternative to the crowded coastline during the hotter months.
