Tom Kanazawa

Tom Kanazawa is Head of Knight Frank’s Japan Desk and focuses on providing relocation and corporate services for our Japanese clients, as well as being a key point of contact for any other services they may need. He has over 20 years’ experience in London’s residential lettings market and remains one of the most experienced Japanese lettings consultants in the UK.

Tom’s expertise has seen him acquire the fellow grade, FARLA (Fellow Member of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents), the highest qualification in the residential lettings industry.

In addition to lettings consultation and relocation and corporate services, Tom can advise on buy-to-let investments, assist with the disposal of residential and commercial UK assets, help retailers to identify the best location for their first UK branch, and more. With a combined 50+ years of knowledge and experience, he and his team are on hand to assist in any way they can.

Prior to joining Knight Frank, Tom worked with an independent Japanese lettings agency for nearly 15 years, before making the move into global property consultancy.

When he’s not advising his clients on real estate, he enjoys gardening, building his DIY skills, and travelling.

2000年以来日系賃貸住宅不動産会社に勤務し営業、管理含め様々な業務を経験。長年の業界経験から日系賃貸住宅不動産業界全般の限界を感じ、2016年にグローバル不動産コンサルタント会社ナイトフランクへ移籍、住宅部門のジャパンデスクの立ち上げに携わる。その後2018年にアソシエイトへ昇格。2020年には日本人として初めて、英国賃貸不動産協会のフェローメンバーの資格を取得。更に同年ナイトフランクとして日本人初のパートナーへ就任。名実ともにイギリス住宅不動産業界の日本人第一人者。

現在では住宅の賃貸、売買に留まらず、オフィス、リテール、ホテル、学生や高齢者住宅市場、あるいは不動産市況のリサーチなどナイトフランクの幅広い業務範囲全般の日本語窓口として日本人と不動産をつなぐ役割を果たしている。
