Beaconsfield is an accessible and well-loved commuter town with a vibrant high street. Just 20 minutes from Marylebone on the Chiltern Line, with easy access to the M40, M25 and National Motorway Network, the area has always been popular with both the London commuter and international traveller. The town is made up two very distinct areas – the Old Town with its predominantly Georgian facades and wide thoroughfare offering a good mix of restaurants and pubs, and the New Town with its thriving high street bookended by eclectic shops and the mainline railway station.

Buckinghamshire as a county is renowned for its schooling. Retaining a selective grammar school system, the area is well served with some of the best regarded state schools in the country. There are options if you are interested in independent education too, with a variety of public schools for children of all ages.

Beaconsfield is often seen as the first step into the countryside leaving London along the M40 corridor. Surrounded by the beautiful Chiltern Hills on one side and the picturesque Thames Valley on the other, the open natural landscape and spacious feel offers a welcomed contrast to the city, which is still only 25 miles away.
