– Leading global property adviser Knight Frank has hired Matthew Rickman as a Partner in its Industrial & Logistics team, strengthening the business’ lease advisory offering to clients
05 February 2026
Matthew joins Knight Frank from Montagu Evans, where he has worked for the past ten years. Matthew has specialised solely in Industrial & Logistics lease advisory services since 2018, providing landlords and occupiers across the UK with support and expert advice on rent reviews, renewals, regears and surrenders. Matthew’s client list has included some of the UK’s largest warehouse landlords and operators, including SEGRO, Legal & General, M&G, M7 and Royal Mail. He has also acted as an expert witness in third party proceedings.
In his new role, Matthew will support the expansion of Knight Frank’s established Industrial & Logistics lease advisory team. Matthew will work closely with Charles Binks, Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency, and Simon Warren and Tom Adamson, Partners in Industrial & Logistics Lease Advisory, to strengthen Knight Frank’s offering to its nationwide Industrial & Logistics client base, providing asset owners, manufacturers and 3PLs with access to his market-leading insight into the lease renegotiation and rent review process. Matthew will be instrumental in broadening and deepening Knight Frank’s capacity to help clients reinforce their income streams, manage their real estate costs and optimise their warehousing footprint.
Charles Binks, Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency at Knight Frank, commented: “Against a persistently uncertain macroeconomic backdrop, industrial & logistics asset owners have sharpened their focus on generating sustainable, long-term income from their portfolios. At the same time, occupiers are demanding more from their real estate and reappraising their space to ensure it supports growth. Matthew’s appointment strengthens Knight Frank’s offering to both parties, enabling landlord and tenant clients to benefit from his extensive experience throughout the lease negotiation and renegotiation process, as well as his valuable expertise in Landlord & Tenant Law.”
Matthew Rickman, Partner at Knight Frank, added: “Knight Frank has earned a reputation as one of the foremost advisers to the UK industrial & logistics sector. With a holistic offering across occupier and landlord advisory services and transactional support, the team provides a one-stop-shop for investors, developers, landlords and occupiers seeking expert advice on the optimisation of their industrial & logistics real estate. I look forward to joining Charles and the wider Knight Frank team as it continues its impressive growth trajectory and cements its position as a leader in the sector.”
