Since 1994, Julian has concentrated on the valuation, acquisition and disposal of trading businesses. As of 2000 he then specialised in healthcare consultancy ﴾C2/D1use property﴿, now annually advising on approximately £8 billion of healthcare property. Within the last 2 years his team has won 21/23 major pitches. Julian’s experience has primarily concerned acting for corporate & private operators, banks, institutions and funds in the valuation, acquisition and disposal of trading care homes, specialist ﴾acute﴿ care homes, hospitals, day centres, medical surgeries, investments and C2 development sites throughout the UK & Europe. Further work has included that of care villages, retirement apartments and day nurseries. In 2015 the team transacted on circa 250 assets, comprising some 3,000 beds, equating to circa £500m. Furthermore, over the last 3 years, the team has advised on 47% of all major UK care home deals (£40m+), more than the next four advisors combined. Knight Frank have also advised on 46% of all USREITS acquisitions in the UK, more than the next four advisors combined.
