Living in Kensington
Bordering Holland Park, Knightsbridge and Notting Hill Gate, Kensington is a leafy, exclusive enclave of West London home to some of the most sought after properties in London. Commanding some of the highest real estate prices in the capital, imposing mansion blocks neighbour stucco-fronted Georgian houses which line crescents and private roads.
Kensington is bookended by trendy Kensington High Street – once home to the Biba store in the 60’s- which has an array of both high street and designer stores alongside independent boutiques and food stores, including with Whole Foods. Kensington Church Street is also famous for its vast collection of antique shops. Kensington has a good mix of both state and private primary schools including Pembridge Hall and St Mary Abbots.
You can experience the delights of the green spaces of Holland Park throughout the year and during the summer it is home to an open air theatre. Holland Park Avenue has a variety of shops and great transport links in and out of London.
Kensington is, of course, synonymous with Kensington Palace - the former residence of Lady Diana and now home to the William & Kate. Kensington is considered to be one of the safest areas in London investment and security wise and, as such, attracts buyers from across the globe.
