Didcot has always been known for its old power station cooling towers, which had almost become a famous feature of the landscape. However, 3 of these towers were removed in July 2014 and plans are in place to remove the remaining towers. For many this has vastly improved the aesthetics of the area and has further increased the desirability of the area which is already known for its beautiful landscapes including The Wittenham Clumps, The Thames River, the nearby Chilterns and the Vale of the White Horse.
