"Whilst we have seen a gradual increase in property coming to the lettings market, we have also seen a 72% increase in the number of tenancies starting via our corporate relocation service year on year. The majority of the activity we have seen during the summer has been for properties up to £1300 per week which echoes the revised budgets coming from companies and private long term renters. The landscape of the lettings market has remained the same over the last twelve months with a price sensitive and product lead tenant base. In addition we have seen the return of the “reluctant landlord” in our market place whereby the current sales market cannot deliver on their required outpoint on the asset. We have seen 43% of properties on the market revise in price and it is ever more important that our clients ensure their properties are showing their best and priced correctly to ensure their investment performs."
