Houses and flats for sale in Bedford Park

Bedford Park is regarded as London’s first garden suburb.  Now designated as a conservation area by Ealing and Hounslow council the properties are sought after for their architectural significance and close proximity to Turnham Green Underground Station (District and Piccadilly Lines).   Formed by just a few tree lined roads the predominantly Grade II listed houses have immense curb appeal with many retaining the original palisade type fences.

The Bedford Park Festival in Chiswick is one of London's best arts and community events, attracting thousands of people from the local area and further afield. It raises money for local charities and the work of St Michael and All Angels Church, with the support of the community and dozens of local businesses.

Areas we cover

Living in Bedford Park

Bedford Park is a leafy suburb in the London Borough of Ealing between Chiswick and Acton.

Jonathan T Carr, a cloth merchant with an urge for property speculation purchased 24 acres of land surrounding three Georgian houses and started sympathetically building houses protecting existing trees to provide a delightful garden suburb. Many properties are Grade II Listed and housing ranges from small terraced houses to grand detached mansions. Well renowned architects Norman Shaw and E J May have many of the houses attributed to them.

Bedford Park has always been a popular area with families keen to enjoy a more tranquil lifestyle whilst remaining within easy reach of central London.  Residents are often seen walking their dogs along the tree lined roads.  Access to both London and Heathrow is made easy with Turnham Green Underground station served by the District and Piccadilly Lines.

Nearby Chiswick High Road offers a wide selection of individual boutiques stores, pubs, wine bars and an array of restaurants, two of which are Michelin starred.
