_Birmingham's new canalside neighbourhood Port Loop launches - register your interest
Sitting two miles from the city centre - a short 15-minute walk - the regeneration of new neighbourhood Port Loop began in 2017 becoming one of the UK’s most significant brownfield regeneration schemes; two years later a new urban island, hemmed in by the Birmingham Canal Old Line and the Birmingham Canal Navigations Main Line, is Birmingham's newest residential hotspot with 1,150 new homes as well as retail and leisure spaces, revamped historical buildings and a new swimming pool in the development pipeline as part of a wider, phased masterplan for the new island community.

The area has a rich industrial past connected with the waterways, which have been made more accessible to residents and the public via towpaths, new 'eco' walkways, wildlife corridors, cycle paths and a planned waterbus stop providing a direct route to the city centre.
Weaving wellness with modern, urban masterplanning, work has also started on courtyard gardens, new public parks and community spaces which will become the green, fertile lungs for Port Loop's modern, mindful residents.
The first housing to be delivered will include 77 urban family homes, each benefiting from a private garden terrace or access to a private courtyard.

Why Birmingham?
The latest research from Knight Frank charting the city's residential and commercial markets - The Birmingham Report indicates that in the last 10 years, there has been enormous strides in creating a sense of place, vibrancy and energy. Take a tour of the city and the progressive and positive changes are brought into stark context.
Smart new apartments sit alongside new offices. Social amenities such as cafes, bars, restaurants, new green spaces, urban parks and gyms are aplenty and support the creation of a ‘lifestyle’ appeal.
