_Is this the coolest road in Queen's Park, NW6?

Just off Queen's Park’s main artery Salusbury Road is NW6's 'coolest' thoroughfare - Lonsdale Road.

Unofficially the area's 'third' high street, it's a wide and totally unique cobbled road fringed with converted stables, hip workspaces and an upbeat vibe that's proven a hit with Queen’s Park's locals who cluster here for the excellent bars and restaurants which spill out into the road come warmer weather.

The recent arrival of new eateries on Lonsdale Road alongside popular old-time favourites throws a culinary spotlight on NW6. Freshly opened and already one of Queen’s Park's most popular restaurants is brunch spot and organic wine bar, Milk Beach.

Set up by a coffee lover and former executive working for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Ethiopia, he's roped in former Duck and Waffle Head Chef to create an enticing brunch menu that's worth a trip out of Shoreditch for.

Bringing to life an ageing garage and car repair shop at 53 Lonsdale Road is the also recently opened Wolfpack tap-room and Wolfpack lager microbrewery founded by ex-Saracens rugby players Chris Wyles and Alistair Hargreaves.

For those not pulling shapes in Lonsdale's Road Yogaloft studios, poses are being struck at trendy Puglian eatery Ostuni. Occupying a large site spanning three converted stables, the 170-cover restaurant which opened a few years ago quickly put this pocket of north west London on the culinary map. It has also proved to be a hotspot for A-listers including Peaky Blinder stars and celebrity chefs being spotted on several occasions.

Every Sunday throughout the year from 10am – 2pm at the end of Lonsdale Road, the award winning farmer’s market is bustling with locals and visitors to the area, enjoying organic and biodynamic produce straight from the source to the large range of stalls.

The family-run Hugo's - once known at The Organic Café - has been serving Queens Park's residents for the longest but continues to pull in the crowds for Sunday morning Bloody Mary's, lunchtime roast favourites and jazz evenings; reclaimed, rustic wooden floorboard, old school desks and quirky furniture contribute to Hugo's lived-in vibe.

Queen's Park has the additional advantage of having access to two high streets - Salusbury Road to the east of the park and Chamberlayne Road to the west.

Here at the latter, you will find independent florists and clothes boutiques, vegan cafes, popular coffee shops, packed bars and lively restaurants.
