Introducing Adelphi Terrace: An elegant new building in London's Adelphi Conservation Area

Lifestyle
In researching this blog, I stumbled across an unexpected historical link between two of our most prestigious New Homes instructions – Adelphi Terrace near Strand and Ancaster Gate on Richmond Hill.
Nearly 250 years ago the three roads that make up the Adelphi Conservation Area and Richmond Hill would have seemed geographically worlds apart, however both hold influence with Robert Adam, a renowned neo-classical architect of 1700’s.
It was Robert Adam and his brothers John, James and William who were behind the Adelphi district, a block of 24 unified neoclassical terrace houses, which occupied the land between The Strand and the River Thames in 1768 – 1772. The development was followed by a commission of Ancaster House in 1773 for Peregrine Bertie, 3rd Duke of Ancaster. As per my colleague, Emma Fletcher-Brewer's recent post, Ancaster House forms part of Ancaster Gate a luxury residential development by London Square, which backs on to the picturesque Richmond Park.
Adelphi Terrace proudly stands on John Adam Street and forms a new boutique development of just 12 apartments.

With prices starting at £995,000, the specifications of this development are of the highest standards throughout, boasting Italian fitted kitchens with integrated Miele/Gaggenau appliances, marble clad bathrooms, underfloor heating and comfort cooling. The building offers lift access to all floors, with a friendly concierge situated in the entrance foyer. The duplex penthouse apartments offer far-reaching views from their private roof terraces.
Conveniently located within close proximity to LSE and Kings University, residents will benefit from being in close proximity to Covent Garden’s shopping district and the exclusive restaurant, bars, theatre and hotels on Strand.
