Private sector led regeneration, Dagenham UK - London Development Agency
We were instructed to consider the future form and scale of development on a significant regeneration site in east London close to Dagenham town centre. The development of the site posed several difficulties, partly relating to the existing low density nature of development in the area, the implications from new development on transport and other infrastructure and finally the requirement for environmental improvements and the linkage of this important development to the existing urban fabric. Our report considered the most appropriate form of residential development including an analysis of the most suitable tenure and unit mix. The report also considered phasing and the delivery of the development.

This study defined the extent of private sector involvement in affordable housing and the intermediary housing sector. The document provided a definition of affordable housing and provided an overview of this growing sector. The report provided a detailed analysis of the current level of private investment within the sector, and detailed the players in the market analysing their objectives. In providing an overview of the future development of private investment in the affordable housing sector, the report provided details of the barriers to additional private investment and recommendations for the future expansion of this sector.

Following the successful expansion of Blueroom Properties residential investment portfolio, we were instructed to undertake a review of the UK investment sector. The report's objective was to conclude on a list of ten residential "hot spots" where Blueroom's future investment effort should be concentrated. Through a mix of desk top research and working with our residential development teams throughout the UK , we provided a clear guide to future stock sourcing and selection. The locations covered included towns and urban districts throughout Scotland , Wales , the north, the midlands and the south-west of England .

We were commissioned to undertake a report, which provided an understanding of the impact on the economics of development from the requirement for developers to provide affordable housing contributions. The report provided an overview of the affordability issue in Surrey together with a review of the existing policy framework covering the provision of affordable housing, the limit of the affordable housing definition and the funding mechanisms used to support the provision of affordable housing. The appraisal methodology adopted by developers in their assessment of development sites was also considered in the report.

Impact of new developments on local pricing, Glasgow UK - Clydesdale Properties Ltd
We were instructed to consider the impact on local pricing from new developments located in emerging residential markets. To undertake this research we considered five developments in separate locations throughout the UK where "market making" schemes had been developed in recent years. By analysis historic pricing and sales rate data, we were able to draw conclusions on the regeneration potential from the development of new properties.

The Impact of wind farm developments on local residential pricing, UK - British Wind Energy Association
Working with the Knight Frank Valuation and Consultancy department we undertook extensive research into the issue of wind farms and residential pricing. Our remit was to provide conclusions as to whether evidence could be found which indicated whether wind farms had a positive or negative impact on residential pricing in the areas in which they had been developed in the UK . Our research considered wind farm developments which had been undertaken in all parts of the UK over previous decades.

In order to aid the master planning work on a significant residential and commercial development site is in the south west of England ; we were instructed to undertake a detailed market analysis. Our brief was to consider in particular the sustainability of the development of over 2,000 residential units in a 10 -15 year period. We examined build rates, occupancy levels and the capacity of both the owner occupied and private rental markets within the city to accommodate this new supply.
