Jeremy heads up our Leasehold Reform team, having joined Knight Frank from Gerald Eve in 2010 as a Partner. He specialises in carrying out statutory and capital valuations of prime central London residential properties and has nearly 20 years' experience in this field. He has previously advised several major central London landlords including The Cadogan, Grosvenor, Howard de Walden and Ilchester Estates and currently advises the Church Commissioners for England. He also acts for private landlords and heads lessees in Belgravia, Chelsea, Holland Park, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Marylebone and other parts of prime central London. He takes pride in delivering a professional service to his clients and achieving the best possible results in negotiations, whilst having an open and commercial outlook. Jeremy works with many of the leading solicitors and barristers in the leasehold reform arena and appears as an expert witness at Tribunal. He was Highly Commended as an expert witness at the 2014 Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards. Jeremy is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (since 1996) and is an Accredited RICS Valuer, affiliated with their Residential and Valuation Groups.
Robert practised as a barrister for six years in the Inner Temple before setting up his own firm which specialised in the letting and management of property. In 1990, the firm was bought out by Knight Frank. From 1993 he has been specialising in Leasehold Reform work. Robert has represented both tenants and landlords in claims made both within and outside the Act and has appeared in many leasehold valuation tribunals and upper tribunals including several test cases.
Riccardo joined Knight Frank from Cluttons LLP in June 2005, where he acted principally for The Wellcome Trust in connection with The South Kensington Estate. Since qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006, he has developed his knowledge and experience in Leasehold Reform work acting on behalf of both landlords and tenants and was made a Partner in 2011. Riccardo is also an Accredited RICS Valuer. Whilst Riccardo settles the vast majority of cases, occasionally it is necessary to prove a client’s case at a valuation tribunal. Riccardo has experience of attending and giving expert evidence at the Leasehold Valuation and First-Tier Tribunals.
Vanda completed an MA in Law and Property Valuation at City University in 1998 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor the same year. She is also an Accredited RICS Valuer. After qualifying, she dealt with hotel and leisure related sales, acquisitions and professional work, providing valuations for various purposes including finance for incorporation in the balance sheet. Vanda was recruited to the Leasehold Reform department at Knight Frank in February 2004 and has since developed a thorough knowledge and experience in Leasehold Reform work, acting for landlord and tenants in both statutory and voluntary claims. She has appeared at the Tribunal as an Expert Witness on numerous occasions and was a finalist in the Valuer of the Year category in 2015 and a finalist in the Expert Witness of the Year category in 2016 at the Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards.
Vanessa joined Knight Frank from South East Leasehold in September 2010 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in April 2012. She has developed her expertise acting for both leaseholders and landlords in connection with lease extension claims, collective enfranchisement of flats and enfranchisement of leasehold houses. Vanessa currently advises a number of landlords, including the Church Commissioners for England, Bourne Capital and Derwent London. Vanessa was promoted to Associate in 2014, she is an Accredited RICS Valuer, and mentors APC candidates who are looking to become qualified Chartered Surveyors. She is also an APC Assessor.
Louise graduated with a 2:1 degree in Rural Land Management from The Royal Agricultural University in 2014. In 2014 Louise joined Knight Frank as a graduate and completed her APC in 2016, having gained experience within a number of different departments. During her APC Louise successfully completed her NFoPP Level 2 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management. Following qualification Louise has become a permanent member of the Leasehold Reform Department and has since gained experience and knowledge working on a number of claims, acting on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
