Knight Frank’s Affordable Housing Team provides expert advice on all aspects of the UK affordable housing sector.
We offer a ‘cradle to grave' service to developers and landowners, from concept design stage, through Section 106 negotiations, to the sale of the affordable housing to a housing association or other affordable housing provider.
One of the team’s key areas of expertise is the preparation of financial viability models – such as the GLA Toolkit (aka Three Dragons) – to demonstrate the amount of affordable housing that a particular development can reasonably be expected to sustain.
The team has an enviable track record of adding value to projects by negotiating the optimum affordable housing mix and identifying the most suitable affordable housing provider for a scheme. We have particularly strong experience of high-density, mixed-use schemes in urban locations, undoubtedly the most challenging schemes into which to integrate affordable housing.
The team’s in-depth knowledge and first hand experience of local, regional and national affordable housing policy, legislation and best practice is complemented by extensive first-hand experience of delivering affordable housing developments.
