Landsec engaged Knight Frank Research Consultancy to undertake a complex piece of residential market analysis designed to assist the client’s board prioritise between a number of competing investment and development priorities.
The question posed by the client was that they found the ebb & flow of the residential market unpredictable and chaotic, compared to the commercial sector. Our challenge was to demonstrate, at a localised level, that residential market performance could be both understood and anticipated.
We delivered the client an in-depth spatial and temporal performance analysis of the London market which allowed them to identify which of their assets should be prioritised for redevelopment, based on the localised over/underperformance relative to their wider market, and which should be retained or delayed.
“In scoping the piece of research in question we found KF’s unilateral understanding of and willingness to engage with what we were trying to do to be head and shoulders above the competition. Not only have they been able to answer the questions we thought we wanted to ask, they’ve also helped identify other relevant questions to ask. On a personal level, they are great guys, have patience for our queries and never make a non-statistician feel like a chimp. We have no hesitation in recommending them.” Nick Corbyn – Retail Director at LANDSEC
