River island sanctuary
This fabulous villa is superbly constructed on an island sanctuary, resting on 2390 m2 of land in Kerobokan. Accessed only via a privately owned bridge, the villa is surrounded by tropical bamboo forests and lush vegetation.
The roof structure, windows, doors, posts and beams are all made of the finest quality reclaimed teak. The flooring varies from reclaimed teak to Indian natural stone and old Colonial Java tiles. All roof tiles are in ironwood.
The main house includes 2 large bedrooms on the ground level, whilst the upper level is reserved for the master suite with private balcony and an adjacent office or 7th bedroom. From here, a spiral stairwell leads to the attic.
Across the 19 m swimming pool and poolside bale, the 3-bedroom guesthouse has its own living room and bar, allowing complete privacy from the main house.
To enhance the value of the property and to ensure that no flooding or water damage would take place, the property has been elevated over 3 m, resulting in the foundations of the building being deeper and stronger than usual. An extensive amount of soil has been added to raise the property and the surface has the finest topsoil, which will allow and enhance growth.
All essential pumps such as the well pump, distribution pump, and pool pump operate on solar energy provided by specially installed solar panels. Designed by an American engineer, no short cuts have been taken with electric system and includes and emergency back up battery bank in place.
