Nestled between the popular areas of Paddington, St Johns Wood and Kilburn.Linked with nearby Little Venice, it has an authentic Italian feel. This is magnified by the picturesque canal, tree-lined streets and beautiful architecture with white stuccos, red brick mansions and cobbled mews streets.

History

The area is named after the British military victory at the Battle of Maida in southern Italy in 1806. Building began in 1807 at the current boundary with the Edgware Road.

The area has had a number of famous residents, including:
