Historic Bath is a stylish west country city, close to Bristol and about 100 miles west of London.
Bath has an interesting history dating back to the Romans but it was in the 18th Century that it gained its lasting reputation as being a genteel and fashionable place. Many fine buildings were built and during the summer months the city was home to many wealthy visitors. Whilst many towns grew at a much faster rate, Bath remained a market town. Bath is now a World Heritage City renowned for its beautiful architecture, surrounding countryside and multitude of cultural and recreational opportunities.
