Climate
Mustique enjoys an average temperature between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius throughout the year. There is no off season in Mustique as it tends to be sufficiently south to avoid hurricanes.
History of the area
With a history going back to the 15th century, The Grenadines were first spotted by Spanish sailors and named, Los Pajaros (The Birds) due to their resemblance of a flock of birds. Later on, in the 17th century, pirates who settled and used the islands to hide their ships renamed them, The Grenadines. The islands were used briefly in the 19th century for sugar production
Culture
Because of its exclusivity and isolation, Mustique has become a hot spot for celebrity A-listers.
Basils Bar is a famous nightspot frequented by residents and visitors alike and home of the Mustique Blues Festival. The club is owned by local entrepreneur, Basil Charles. Charles also provides the island of Mustique with a boutique, antique shop and wine shop.

The Mustique Company rent or lease about 89 villas spread out through the island; 57 of which are available for weekly rentals. There are also two privately owned hotels, The Firefly and the Cotton House Hotel. Currently, there are only 2 properties for sale.
Access
There are no direct flighst to Mustique, however, Mustique Airways, Trans Island Airways (TIA) and SVG Airlines all offer shared as well as private charters from St. Vincent and Barbados.
Located approximately 18 miles from St. Vincent and 110 miles from Barbados, it is also possible to sail there by yacht.
The popular method of transport once on the island is by “mule” – a four- wheeled buggy type of vehicle.
