Areas we cover

Living in The Glebe Estate

Built between 1871 and 1901 the Glebe Estate then totalled 470 houses, all of which were leased out on 99 year leases. A self-contained area, most roads had their own shops, they had their own public house and in 1877 they opened their own school. In the early 1970’s the 99 year leases expired and the freehold houses on the Glebe Estate started to come on to the open market, attracting a new type of clientele, who started the renovation of these properties.

The Glebe Estate falls into the catchment area for Belmont Primary School and St Marys Roman Catholic Primary School, making it a desirable area for many young families.

An array of boutique shops, cafes and the ever popular La Trompette can be found along Devonshire Road, and the local amenities of Chiswick High Road are just moments away. For those commuting the closest tube station is Turnham Green (District and Piccadilly Lines).
