Black History Month spotlight: Kieran Patel

Lifestyle
"Be authentic in how you communicate, play to your strengths, and develop your own unique selling point."
Kieran Patel is the Senior Campaign Executive (Corporate and Brand) at Knight Frank. Initially joining the Residential marketing team, he later transitioned to his current Corporate marketing role, where his ability to balance creativity with analytical thinking has become his trademark.
Early life and education
Born in Maidenhead to mixed heritage parents - his mother of English descent from Southport and his father of Indian origin who grew up in Uganda, Kieran's diverse background has shaped his perspective on life.
Raised primarily by his mother, Kieran developed an interest in languages early on, leading him to study German and Business Management at Royal Holloway University. His yearlong internship in Germany helped him master the language and honed his adaptability and communication skills, all skills that are now central to his marketing career.
Outside the office
Known for being direct and honest, Kieran balances his professional demeanour with a playful and charismatic side. He enjoys spending time with close friends, sharing laughter, and embracing moments of humour—even if he describes himself as an "exhausted optimist."
Social impact
Kieran's drive to make a difference goes beyond his work at Knight Frank. He has spent time in Malawi and Uganda, building community centres and refurbishing schools, experiences that not only impact others but also provide him with fresh perspectives. Early volunteering with his mum instilled a lifelong commitment to giving back, which continues through his international expeditions.
As a Mental Health Champion, Kieran is equally committed to supporting colleagues' wellbeing. He is part of a network trained to foster open, stigma-free conversations about mental health, ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. Whether building in rural communities or advocating for mental health at work, Kieran is dedicated to creating lasting, positive change.
What matters at work
Kieran believes in the importance of authenticity in the workplace. His advice? "Be authentic, play to your strengths, and develop your own unique selling point." He values Knight Frank’s flexibility, allowing individuals to thrive by being true to themselves.
Kieran’s multifaceted personality, passion for giving back, and commitment to authenticity make him a unique and valued member of the Knight Frank team.
