Modern Slavery Act 2015 Statement

Statement for the Financial Year 2016

This statement is made on behalf of Knight Frank LLP (“Knight Frank”) pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“the Act”) and comprises our slavery and human trafficking statement.

Our structure

Knight Frank is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) registered in England (registered number OC305934).

Knight Frank LLP provides services in the UK and through its direct subsidiaries.  Internationally, services are provided by a network of separate and independent entities or practices (whether or not having juridical or legal personality) offering professional, commercial and residential property services. These firms, together with Knight Frank LLP, are known as 'the Knight Frank global network'.  For the purposes of the Act, only Knight Frank LLP meets the threshold requiring an annual statement to be produced.

Each entity or practice in the Knight Frank global network is a distinct and separate legal entity. Its ownership and management is distinct from that of any other entity or practice whether operating under the name Knight Frank or otherwise.

No entity or practice operating under the name Knight Frank is liable for the acts or omissions of any other entity or practice. Neither does it act as agent for nor have any authority (whether actual, apparent, implied or otherwise) to represent, bind or obligate in any way any other entity or practice that operates under the name Knight Frank (including Knight Frank).

The Knight Frank global network has a global alliance with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (“NGKF”) in the Americas and Douglas Elliman Fine Homes (“Douglas Elliman”) in the United States of America.  Each Knight Frank global network entity or practice is separate and independent from each entity or practice operating under the NGKF or Douglas Elliman name, and is not liable for the acts or omissions of any NGKF or Douglas Elliman entity or practice.  No NGKF or Douglas Elliman entity or practice acts as agent for or has authority (whether actual, apparent, implied or otherwise) to represent, bind or obligate in any way any entity of the Knight Frank global Network.

Our Approach

Knight Frank LLP is fundamentally committed to ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. As a professional services supplier we work to provide our clients with the highest levels of service attainable. We hold ourselves to the utmost standards of professional conduct and accept nothing less from our suppliers.

As a property services consultancy, Knight Frank recognises that there is a risk (albeit very small) for slavery or human trafficking to occur in its supply chain.

Further steps

Knight Frank is committed to taking all appropriate steps to ensure that slavery or human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains.  We will be reviewing our existing business and supply chains for the risks of slavery and human trafficking; reviewing and revising as needed our procurement processes; and disseminating relevant information as part of awareness training to relevant parts of our business.

Knight Frank will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking.

This statement is issued on behalf of our Group Executive Board and will be reviewed annually.
