East Garston is a delightfully picturesque village, approximately six miles north of Hungerford, situated on the River Lambourn and in the Lambourn Valley, an area famous for its racehorse training, gallops and beautiful countryside. The village is made up of many attractive period and listed properties and the delightful All Saints Church dates back to Norman times. Cornbaggers itself is thought to have been erected on the site of a manorial mill, mentioned in the Domesday book.
The property is thought to date back to the 16th/17th century and is listed Grade II. It is in superb order and has been extremely well maintained by the current owners. The kitchen has recently been updated with a John Lewis of Hungerford kitchen and their is a two oven Aga in the breakfast room which has a low ceiling beam.
To the rear and western side of the house is the impressive 69' barn, which is also listed. The current owners restored it about 4 years ago.
